Union Right to Information--Failure to Furnish--Local as Bargaining Agent.--By refusing to furnish requested information to a local union that was certified as an employee representative, an employer violated its bargaining duty. The employer refused to recognize the local as the bargaining agent, arguing that an international union was the primary negotiator of bargaining contracts. However, the local was the actual representative of the employer’s bargaining unit employees and, therefore, the employer was under an obligation to furnish the data. Further, the information requested, the amount of wages paid to clerks in excess of amounts called for in a collective bargaining agreement, was relevant to the union’s bargaining unit duties. Section 8(b)(5).
