Missry Associates Inc. is recalling about 15,120 Misco Sports Badminton Toy Sets because the shuttlecocks contain easily accessible button cell batteries that pose a risk of serious injury or death if ingested. When swallowed, button cell or coin batteries can cause internal chemical burns and death (CPSC Recall Notice, No. 26-483 (May 14, 2026)).
Incidents and injuries. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
Product description. The recall involves Misco Sports Badminton Toy Sets, model MT2383, which come in blue and red and include a light-up shuttlecock. The model numbers “MT2383” and “100125” are printed in white lettering on the black handles.
The products were sold at Menard’s stores nationwide from January 2026 through March 2026 for about $10. They were manufactured in China and imported by Missry Associates Inc., doing business as Misco Enterprises, of Edison, New Jersey.
Remedy. Consumers are advised to stop using the badminton toy sets immediately, take the shuttlecock away from children, and contact Missry Associates for a full refund. To receive the refund, consumers will be instructed to dispose of the product and email a photo of the discarded set to the company.
