Allura Imports Inc. is recalling about 120 youth sweatshirts with drawstrings because the drawstrings can become caught on objects, posing a risk of serious injury or death from strangulation. The garments violate federal regulations for children’s upper outerwear and are considered a substantial product hazard (CPSC Recall Notice, No. 26-477 (May 7, 2026)).
Incidents and injuries. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
Product description. The recall involves gray youth sweatshirts featuring the “Bobcat” name and logo printed in black on the chest. The sweatshirts were sold in youth sizes 8/10 and 12/14, with the size and “RN#36753” printed on the neck label in black.
The products were sold at Gabe’s stores from October 2025 through November 2025 for about $15. The sweatshirts were manufactured in Egypt and imported by Allura Imports Inc., of New York, New York.
Remedy. Consumers are advised to take the sweatshirts away from children immediately and remove the drawstrings. They can contact Allura Imports to return the garment for a full refund. To receive a shipping label, consumers should email the company with the subject line “RECALL,” along with their name and purchase date. Refunds will be issued after the returned product is received.
