The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has published a list of “typical law enforcement cases in the fields of cybersecurity, data security, and personal information protection” that details various violations across 10 cases.
The violations include “website tampering, malicious program setup, data leakage, personal information leakage, illegal collection and use of personal information, illegal transfer of personal information abroad, failure to implement requirements for identifying AI-generated content, and the launch of new technologies and applications without evaluation,” CAC said in a news release.
In addressing the law enforcement efforts, a CAC official said that “cybersecurity, data security, and personal information protection are crucial to national security, public interests, and the legitimate rights and interests of the people.”
The CAC said its law enforcement efforts would continue to intensify as it investigates violators in order to safeguard cyberspace.
