The firm is offering a free replacement container.

Astemrey LLC has announced a recall of about 14,000 Y’all Can DIY Liquid Bioethanol Fireplace Fuel Containers due to a serious fire hazard. The containers violate mandatory safety standards for portable fuel containers because they lack flame mitigation devices required under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act. This poses a risk of flash fire, which could result in severe injury or death (CPSC Recall Notice, No. 26-079 (Nov. 6, 2025)).

Incidents and injuries. No injuries have been reported to date.

Product description. The recalled product is Y’all Can DIY bioethanol fireplace liquid fuel sold in 1000ml clear bottles with black tops and a white-and-black label featuring orange and white lettering. The label includes phrases such as “No Soot,” “No Ash,” and “Clean Burning,” along with hazard warnings printed on the side.

The affected units were manufactured in Turkey and were sold on Amazon between April 2025 and July 2025 for approximately $19 for single packs and $31 for three-packs. Only products manufactured and sold after January 12, 2025, are included in this recall.

Remedy. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fireplace fuel, keep it out of reach of children, and contact Astemrey for a free replacement container. To participate, consumers must mark the original container with “DO NOT USE” and their Amazon order number, take a photo showing the markings, and email it to contact@astemrey.com for verification. After approval, consumers should dispose of the original bottle and contents following local household hazardous waste guidelines for flammable liquids. Do not pour fuel into drains or place it in household trash.

Customer contact. For more information, customers may contact Astemrey by email at contact@astemrey.com.
