The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) has released its annual report of support measures in place in European nations to support the adoption of zero-emission commercial vehicles.

The updated 2026 edition offers a comprehensive look at the tax benefits and incentives for zero-emission vehicle acquisition and charging/hydrogen refuelling infrastructure in the EU, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The report says most European nations provide a varying level of fiscal support for the acquisition of zero-emission commercial vehicles like trucks, buses, and vans.

According to the latest report, a third of EU member states do not offer any incentives for the acquisition of zero-emission commercial vehicles, while only half of the EU countries offer incentives for infrastructure.

Eight EU member states (Austria, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands) do not offer any tax benefit to encourage the acquisition of zero-emission vans, trucks, or buses.
