The group doing the work will request information regarding agencies’ actions to end DEI/DEIA programs and to have employees report to an office.

The Associate Director of Merit System Accountability and Compliance (MSAC) within OPM announced in November that MSAC “is conducting two Governmentwide studies of agency efforts to 1) implement the requirements to end diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEI and DEIA) programs, and 2) have employees return to in-person work.” According to the brief memo, these efforts are based on President Trump’s directives and will be led by MSAC’s Agency Compliance and Evaluation Eastern Group (ACE-Eastern).

“We will request information regarding your Agency’s actions to end DEI/DEIA programs and have employees report to an office,” the memo explains, and it instructed agencies to send the name and email address for a point-of-contact for each matter by November 26, 2025.
