The legislation overhauls the calculation basis for the special consumption tax on vehicle sales.

Under the legislation, vehicles will be taxed at a rate of either 80, 150, or 220 percent, with a 50 percent concessionary rate specifically for off-road pick up trucks with a maximum load capacity or 3,500 kilograms (7716.18 pounds).
