    Subsequent to the March 23 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing of genomic company 23andMe Holding Co., policy-makers raised alarms regarding the potential sale of highly sensitive personal information in the company’s database as part of the bankruptcy proceedings, including several state attorneys general and FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson (CPR, March 31). A group of attorneys at Pryor Cashman LLC has released an article outlining the rights that customers have under state privacy laws to request deletion of their data, as well as federal provisions regarding the protection of personal information in bankruptcy sales.
