Rich Greenstein has succeeded Dennis Wieczorek as chair of DLA Piper’s US Franchise and Distribution Practice. He has previously led the firm’s Franchise and Distribution practice in the Southeast, as the founding member of DLA Piper’s Atlanta office.

Greenstein has over 30 years of experience in franchise and distribution law, intellectual property, licensing, and mergers and acquisitions. His practice focuses on providing clients with establishing and maintaining domestic and international franchise programs; day-to-day counseling on legal compliance issues, franchisee relations, and dispute resolution; and drafting and negotiation franchise agreements. He has also established a niche practice of advising clients in the acquisition and sales of franchise systems.

“We’ve been gratified by the messages of support from clients with long histories of association with our firm’s franchising practice, including the International Franchise Association, which we’ve served as General Counsel for 54 years,” stated Senior Partner Philip Zeidman in reference to Greenstein’s succession of Dennis Wieczorek, who passed away earlier this month. “Now with Rich at the helm, we will, of course, continue to provide the same level of service to our franchising clients that Dennis exemplified for so many years.”

DLA Piper is a global law firm with 4,200 attorneys. It has offices in over 30 countries, spanning across the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Europe.
