About 304 Topyond Pool Drain Ports with Covers are being recalled because they violate the entrapment protection standards of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act, posing serious entrapment and drowning hazards (CPSC Recall Notice, No. 26-592 (July 2, 2026)).
Incidents and injuries. No incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled pool drain ports and covers.
Product description. The recall involves white Topyond Pool Drain Ports with Covers sold as replacement drainers for swimming pools. The plastic units were packaged in a cardboard box marked “SP-2850V” and labeled “X004F4YG5X, Topyond Pool Drain Port Repl. MADE IN CHINA.” Stainless steel screws were included in the package. The drain ports measure about 9.1 inches by 6.7 inches and have a 2.3-inch connection opening. The products were sold online at Amazon.com from May 2024 through May 2026 for about $46. They were manufactured in China.
Remedy. Pool owners, operators, and consumers should stop using pools equipped with the recalled drain port and cover immediately and contact Topyond for a full refund. To obtain a refund, consumers should remove the drain cover, write “RECALL” on it with a marker, take a photograph, and then dispose of the cover. If feasible, consumers should disable the drain cover by cutting its perimeter structure to prevent reinstallation or further use. The photograph should be emailed to the company. Consumers are also advised to ensure pools and spas are fitted with drain covers compliant with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act.
Customer contact. Topyond can be contacted by email at [email protected].
