BlockBlueLight Limited has issued a recall for approximately 1,280 Multi-Mode Sleep Lamps due to fire and burn hazards posed by the lithium-ion batteries overheating while charging. The recall affects lamps sold online from December 2023 through November 2024. Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled lamps immediately and contact BlockBlueLight for a refund, store credit, or a free replacement lamp (CPSC Recall Notice, No. 25-132 (Feb. 13, 2025)).

Product description. The recalled product, identified as model number BBL-MM-LAMP, features three color modes and is designed to aid in sleep. The lithium-ion battery within the lamp can overheat, presenting a risk of fire and burns to users. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported. Consumers in possession of the recalled lamps should cease usage immediately and reach out to BlockBlueLight Limited for remedy options.

Consumers should dispose of the recalled lamps in accordance with local and state regulations. The lithium-ion batteries should not be thrown in the trash or placed in general battery recycling boxes due to their hazardous nature when damaged. Proper disposal guidelines can be found through local municipal recycling centers.
