The products violate the small parts ban.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using TooyBing Wooden Toys due to a serious choking hazard. The Montessori wooden bead toys are intended for children under three years of age but violate the federal small parts ban because the beads are small enough to pose a deadly choking risk. The agency urges consumers to dispose of the toys and not sell or give them away (CPSC Product Safety Warning, No. 26-136 (Dec. 5, 2025)).
CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to Equiature LLC, of Denver, Colorado, doing business as “01451.” The company has not agreed to recall the toys or provide a remedy to consumers.
The toys were sold online at Shein.com from July 2025 through September 2025 for about $20 and may also have been available through third-party sellers on other websites. The multicolored set includes 25 wooden beads in various colors, two wooden sticks with yellow and red laces, eight pattern cards, and one wooden pegged stand. The packaging displays “TooyBing,” “Montessori Wooden Toy,” and “Fun Bead Sequencing Games” on the front, with model number TB-MZWJ printed on the back.
These products were manufactured in China. Consumers are urged to report any incidents involving injury or product defects to CPSC at www.SaferProducts.gov.
