    The latest investment noted came from Swiss pharmaceutical company Octapharma.

    According to a White House press release issued August 4, U.S. manufacturing activity posted its strongest expansion in more than four years during July 2026, marking the seventh consecutive month of growth in the sector. The administration attributed this increase to President Trump’s “Working Families Tax Cuts” and “America First” trade policies, arguing that such measures are encouraging companies to expand production and investment in the United States.

    The latest investment highlighted by the administration came from Swiss pharmaceutical company Octapharma, which announced plans to invest $1.5 billion in its first U.S. production facility. The project is expected to create approximately 1,500 jobs, according to the administration.

    The White House also pointed to a series of previously announced investments by foreign manufacturers and technology companies:

    • Novartis’ planned $23 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing and research facilities;

    • Roche’s announced $50 billion investment in manufacturing and R&D operations;

    • Belgium-based pharmaceutical company UCB’s $2 billion investment in its first U.S. manufacturing facility;

    • Toyota’s $3.6 billion investment supporting truck production;

    • Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC’s announced $265 billion U.S. manufacturing expansion;

    • Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron’s $700 million AI manufacturing investment with NVIDIA; and

    • Siemens’ $165 million manufacturing expansion project.

    Collectively, the projects are expected to create thousands of jobs across the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, automotive, electronics, artificial intelligence, and industrial manufacturing sectors, according to the administration.

    “President Trump and his entire Administration will continue driving this revival further, making good on the promise to reshore American jobs, revitalize our domestic supply chain, and put America First,” stated the release.
