    Papua New Guinea's parliament has recently signed off on tax measures included in the territory's 2024 Budget.

    Tax measures in the Budget include a 20-percent hike to tobacco duties and maintaining the PGK20,000 personal income tax-exempt threshold, which was hiked substantially last year.

    Further, the Government will reduce the Progressive Log Export Tax to 50 percent from 70 percent, with effect from January 1, 2024.
