The firm has released an over-the-air software update.

Tesla, Inc. is recalling approximately 25 2024 Model X vehicles because the parking lights and low beam headlights may flicker. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, which regards lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. Flickering headlights or parking lights may not sufficiently illuminate the roadway, increasing the risk of a crash (NHTSA Recall Notice, No. 24V904, Report receipt date: Dec. 2, 2024).

Remedy. Tesla released an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 31, 2025.

Contact information. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla's number for this recall is SB-24-00-017. Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
