Allen & Overy has announced that Dr. Börries Ahrens will join its global antitrust practice as a partner in the Hamburg office, effective August 1, 2016.
Börries advises on all aspects of European and German antitrust law. He regularly represents clients in merger control proceedings and cartel investigations before the German Federal Cartel Office, the European Commission, and European and German courts.
Börries, who joins the firm from White & Case where he was a partner, will work closely with Ellen Braun, head of the German Antitrust practice, and partner Jürgen Schindler. The firm’s German antitrust practice advises German and international clients on antitrust issues before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office in complex merger control cases, cartel investigations, proceedings for administrative fines, and damages and complaints.
