    Perkins Coie has enhanced its intellectual property practice in Palo Alto, California by adding patent attorney Michael A. Glenn as partner, according to a recent announcement. Glenn was most recently with Glenn Patent Group, a Silicon Valley patent prosecution boutique firm he founded in 1992. Prior to that, he held senior in-house positions with Intel Corporation, National Semiconductor, and Digital Equipment Corporation.

    Glenn has extensive experience in all phases of patent prosecution, including IP audits and strategy, opinions of counsel, pre-litigation patent defense and assertion, appeals, reissues, and reexaminations. He has handled technologies including telecommunications, information technology, business methods, medical devices, semiconductors, and mechanical inventions.

    A graduate of University of Arizona (B.S.) and San Mateo Law School, Glenn serves as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco. He is past chair of the California State Bar Intellectual Property Section and the Silicon Valley Intellectual Property Law Association. Prior to his law career, he worked as an electrical engineer at GTE Lenkurt and Amprex Corporation.

    Glenn’s arrival at Perkins Coie closely follows the addition of IP partners and senior counsel at the firm’s Denver, Dallas, and Chicago offices.
