The FCC has published a consolidated list of prohibited entities on its website with the aim of “help[ing] equipment authorization applicants and testing facilities verify whether an entity qualifies as a ‘Prohibited Entity’ according the Second Report and Order and Second Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (Second EA Integrity R&O),” the Commission said in a public notice in ET docket 24-136.

The second report and order adopted earlier this year aimed “to strengthen national security by promoting the integrity of our equipment authorization program while alleviating unnecessary administrative burdens on Telecommunications Certification Bodies (TCBs) and industry providers,” the public notice recalled.

FCC rules cite multiple lists “housed with multiple different agencies” as sources of prohibited entities, and the second report and order directed the Office of Engineering and Technology to create a consolidated list, it added.

The online list at https://www.fcc.gov/engineering-technology/prohibited-entities-list will be “updated on a recurring basis, with a ‘last updated’ indicator at the top of the page. Users can also download a machine-readable CSV version of the list,” the public notice said.
