Global Daily Tax News, Cyprus Begins Transition To New Tax For All Platform, (Jun 18, 2025)
Cyprus's tax authority has confirmed that it has withdrawn filing options for form TF7, the Employer Withholding and Tax and Contributions declaration, to allow for the introduction of the new Tax For All (TFA) platform.
Earlier this year, the tax agency had said it would transition from the TAXISnet platform to TFA beginning from the first half of 2025. Until now, taxpayers could file form TF7 through TAXISnet for tax years up to 2023.
The tax agency has now confirmed the withdrawal of the filing option for taxpayers, stating: "Until the transfer of the TF7 Declaration to the TFA system, it will not be possible to submit or modify the TF7 Declaration for the years up to 2023, neither through TAXISnet nor through the TFA System. A relevant announcement will be issued regarding the exact date of transfer of the Declaration to the TFA."
The tax agency earlier confirmed, after the launch of the TFA filing and payment requirement later this year, the following will apply:
Both the submission of the TF7 declaration and the payment of tax and contribution withholding will be carried out exclusively through the TFA system;
From the year 2025 onwards, monthly TF7 declarations will be required;
All monthly TF7 declarations for 2025, starting from January, must be submitted, including those for which tax and contribution payments were made through the Tax Portal;
It will be mandatory to include the Tax Identification Number (TIN) for each employee within the monthly declarations.
