The company will provide redesigned dive sticks that comply with federal regulations.

Joyin US Corp. is recalling about 404,000 Sloosh dive sticks because the products violate the federal dive sticks ban by exceeding the compression limit, creating an impalement hazard. Children can fall or land on the dive sticks in shallow water, resulting in serious piercing injuries. Facial and eye injuries are also possible when children attempt to retrieve the sticks underwater. This recall expands a previous recall of 254,000 units, bringing the total to 404,000 (CPSC Recall Notice, No. 26-654 (July 30, 2026)).

Incidents and injuries. No incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled dive sticks.

Product description. The recall expansion covers Sloosh dive sticks, models 40041, 40003, and 16154. The hard plastic, cylinder-shaped dive sticks were sold in various colors and measure about 7 inches long and 1 inch or less in diameter. Model 40041 was sold online at Amazon.com, Temu.com, Wayfair.com, Target.com, and SHEIN.com from February 2019 through October 2025 for between $17 and $22. Model 40003 was sold online at Amazon.com, Target.com, and SHEIN.com from January 2017 through December 2025 for between $14 and $16. Model 16154 was sold online at Amazon.com and Target.com from October 2023 through December 2025 for between $10 and $15. The products were manufactured in China.

Remedy. Consumers should stop using the recalled dive sticks immediately, take them away from children, and dispose of them. To receive a replacement, consumers must photograph the discarded dive sticks in the trash and email the photo to Joyin at [email protected]. After receiving the photo, the company will provide redesigned dive sticks that comply with federal regulations. Consumers may continue using the other items included in the Sloosh water toy packages.

Customer contact. Consumers can contact Joyin toll-free at 800-781-3067 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. MT Monday through Friday; by email at [email protected]; or online at www.joyin.com and click on “Recall” on the bottom of the page.
