The California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) has published its 2024-2027 strategic plan, which sets forth the agency’s goals for enforcement of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
“Creating a strategic plan is an important milestone in the Agency’s evolution from start-up to maturity,” said CPPA Executive Director Ashkan Soltani. “It is our road map for the future, with measurable goals and objectives that will further our mission to protect consumer privacy, ensure that consumers and businesses are well informed about their rights and obligations, and vigorously enforce the law.”
In addition to outlining the agency’s structure, vision, mission, and values, the strategic plan emphasizes the following four goals that the CPPA will pursue during the next four years:
Strengthen public education, outreach, and engagement;
Vigorously enforce privacy laws;
Strengthen California privacy rights; and
Achieve operational excellence.
The plan outlines the CPPA’s objectives and strategies associated with each of these goals.
