    Argentina's tax agency, AFIP, has recently announced an extension to the individual income tax return filing and payment deadline this year.

    As announced by AFIP earlier this month, for returns due for the 2023 year of assessment, the following extended deadlines apply:

    • August 26, 2024, for taxpayers whose tax identification number (CUIT) ends either in 0, 1, 2, or 3;

    • August 27, 2024, for taxpayers whose tax identification number (CUIT) ends either in 4, 5, or 6; or

    • August 28, 2024, for taxpayers with a tax identification number (CUIT) ending with the digit 7, 8, or 9.
