The task force will recommend steps to revoke or terminate the identified policies and practices, as well as any remedial actions.

An executive order (EO) by President Donald J. Trump creates a task force to review the Biden-era activities of federal departments and agencies to identify anti-Christian policies, practices, or conduct and recommend to the president remedial actions. The task force includes the Chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Secretary of Labor.

Task force. The EO establishes the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias, for which the attorney general will serve as chair. The task force will consist of secretaries of State, Labor, Treasury, Defense, Labor, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Education, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security, as well as the chair of the EEOC, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. representative to the United Nations, the administrator of the Small Business Administration, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the assistant to the president for domestic policy, the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the heads of other departments, agencies, and offices invited to participate.

Activities. The task force will review the activities of all executive departments and agencies, including the Department of Labor and the EEOC, that took place during the Biden administration to identify any unlawful anti-Christian policies, practices, or conduct. The EO states that the task force will recommend to the head of the relevant agency steps to revoke or terminate any violative policies, practices, or other conduct identified and any remedial actions; share information and develop strategies to protect the religious liberties of Americans; solicit information and ideas from a broad range of individuals and groups; identify deficiencies in existing laws and enforcement and regulatory practices that have contributed to unlawful anti-Christian government or private conduct; recommend to the president any presidential or legislative action necessary to rectify past improper anti-Christian conduct and protect religious liberty.

Required reports. The EO requires that the task force will advise the president regarding its work and assist the president in formulating future policy by submitting a report regarding the task force’s initial work within 120 days from the date of the EO, as well as a report within 1 year from the date of the EO and a final report upon the dissolution of the task force. The EO states the task force will terminate two years from the date of the order unless extended by the president.
