Global Daily Tax News, US Extends Tariff Waiver For Israeli Agricultural Exports, (Dec 31, 2025)
On December 29, 2025, the White House announced a one-year extension to a tariff waiver for certain agricultural imports from Israel.
A new Proclamation published by the White House confirms that temporary tariff waivers will be extended through December 31, 2026, pending the implementation of wider changes to provisions governing agricultural goods under the 1985 free trade deal between the two countries.
Since 2004, the US has provided tariff-free access for specified agricultural goods within quotas under a deal agreed then with Israel. The tariff waivers afforded under the 2004 agreement have been periodically extended annually, but the two countries reached an agreement earlier this month on permanent revisions to the 2004 agreement.
The Proclamation confirms tariff-free access for specified agricultural goods within quotas for the following year, pending implementation of the new deal.
