    The Turkish Revenue Administration has issued new General Circular on Tax Procedure Law No. 591, which sets out obligations on providers of taxi services to install electronic fiscal devices within their vehicles to accurately track and report in real time fares.

    These electronic fiscal devices – called Taxi Financial Devices in the Circular – must be capable of issuing electronic receipts and invoices and processing card payments.

    The information that must be reported by such devices include the journey time, route information, fare, and other transaction-related information.

    The deadline for installation and use of these devices is September 1, 2026.
