    Drawing on insights from the Wolters Kluwer 2026 Future Ready Lawyer Survey, legal technology experts discussed ways for leaders to implement rapid adoption of AI tools while fostering a culture of responsibility and safety.

    A key finding of the recently released Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory 2026 Future Ready Lawyer Survey is that legal organizations are rapidly embracing artificial intelligence (AI) while facing a complex regulatory environment, among other challenges. Leaders must find ways to encourage employees and outside counsel to make effective use of the emerging technology, while ensuring that adequate guardrails remain in place to keep systems secure. The survey report underlines the importance of continuous learning and strong compliance frameworks.

    In a webinar titled “Building Confidence in an AI Era—Leading Global Enterprises Through Accelerated AI Adoption,” Joy Heath Rush, CEO of the International Legal Technology Association, moderated a panel discussion that explored leadership challenges that surface when trying to scale AI across a global enterprise.

    Rush was joined by a prominent group of legal tech thought leaders: Philipp Eder, lawyer and legal tech specialist; Kevin Cohn, General Manager of Brightflag; Marlene Gebauer, Practice Support Attorney at K&L Gates; Sergio Liscia, Vice President & General Manager of Legal Software at Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory; and Cathy Wolfe, Executive Vice President & General Manager at Wolters Kluwer Corporate & Legal Compliance. Their conversation focused on techniques and approaches for encouraging AI use by law firm employees and outside counsel engaged by corporate legal departments, with an emphasis on development of human infrastructure.
