The European Commission yesterday opened a public consultation concerning draft regulations for the European Health Data Space (EDHS), which sets forth the framework for the HealthData@EU infrastructure to “enable secure and interoperable cross-border access to electronic health data for secondary use.”

The draft regulations also set out “the specifications of the IT tool for enforcement transparency, facilitating cooperation and information exchange between health data access bodies on enforcement measures,” the EC said in a news release.

Comment on the draft regulations are due Sept 29.
