Comment deadlines and effective dates for regulatory activity issued by the federal financial institution agencies.

The Banking and Finance Law Daily Regulation Tracker includes a Proposed Rules Comment Calendar and a table of Final Rule Effective Dates. Recent activity includes the following:

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Reserve Board, and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation have formally published, in the Federal Register, a notice of proposed rulemaking to modify the enhanced supplementary leverage ratio standards applicable to U.S. bank holding companies identified as global systemically important bank holding companies and their depository institution subsidiaries.

The Fed has also issued a notice of proposed rulemaking to revise its Large Financial Institution rating system or LFI Framework and the ratings system for supervised insurance organizations. The Fed noted that the proposed changes “would better align the supervisory rating framework with and more accurately reflect the strength of bank holding companies and the banking system as a whole,” while also indicating it would “evaluate additional comprehensive changes” in the future.
