The FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology has withdrawn the agency’s recognition of CVC Testing Technology (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd. as an accredited test laboratory for testing equipment for compliance with the FCC’s rules on RF (radiofrequency) emissions.
OET initiated proceedings to end recognition of CVC Shenzhen and several other China-based labs last fall (CPR, Oct. 27, 2025). OET withdrew recognition of several of the other labs mentioned in the October actions earlier this month (CPR, Feb. 13).
While CVC Shenzhen responded to the October action by reiterating “its status as ‘an independent third-party testing organization committed to upholding he highest standards of quality and compliance,’” OET said, it asked for additional time “‘to compile the detailed information requested in the Order, including ownership structures, governance polices, and compliance information,’” FCC, Order Withdrawing Recognition as an Accredited Test Laboratory, Dkt. 25-273 (Feb. 25, 2026).
“CVC Shenzhen did not submit any further information by the [postponed] February 18, 2026 deadline in response to the Order Instituting Proceeding,” OET said.
“Based on the information in the record, OET concludes that the Company has failed to demonstrate why the Commission should not withdraw recognition of CVC Shenzhen as an accredited test laboratory pursuant to section 2.951(d)(1) of the Commission’s rules,” it added.
