Cybersecurity Policy Report, Privacy Blog Launched by California Privacy Agency, (Sep 10, 2024)
By Tony Foley
The California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) has launched an informational blog on its privacy.ca.gov website.
The blog represents the CPPA’s efforts to provide the public with a “go-to source” for privacy news and information in the state, according to the first post, published yesterday. Users will find guidance on protecting personal information, details about emerging privacy issues, and insights on the agency’s activities and priorities, with regular posts providing privacy tips and information on enforcement activity and legislative and regulatory efforts by the CPPA. It will include helpful, easy-to-understand information for all users regardless of their level of expertise, although the agency said it would occasionally post deeper dives into technical subject matter for those interested.
Users may subscribe to an e-mail list or download links to social media platforms X, LinkedIn, and YouTube from the first post.
