    Cybersecurity Policy Report, New Complaint Form Released in Denmark, (Dec 10, 2025)

    Danish citizens are now able to use a new form to file personal data processing complaints with the country’s data protection authority, Datatilsynet.

    The new form, announced in a Dec. 9 news release, provides better guidance to citizens while reducing the risk that Datatilsynet will lack information necessary for processing the complaint. Users of the new form must log in via the Danish national digital ID system, MitID, which will fill in basic information about a complainant automatically. In addition, if the complainant knows the central business register (CVR) number about the organization against which the complaint is filed, information on the organization also will be automatically filled in.

    Citizens that do not have a MitID, or who for some reason cannot or do not wish to use the new compliant form, will still be able to complain by using an alternate contact option from Datatilsynet.
