Global Daily Tax News, Moldova Rejects Income Tax Waiver For Agri-Food Firms, (Apr 15, 2026)
Moldova's Government has rejected a legislative proposal put forward by a group of lawmakers for an income tax exemption for vertically integrated agri-food enterprises.
The proposed income tax exemption would have applied to companies engaged in all stages of production only, from production to retail.
The Government has, however, rejected the proposal, citing among other things tax fairness considerations and a lack of proposed mechanisms providing for oversight and review against the measure's objectives.
