Luxembourg's Government has confirmed plans to cut the corporate income tax rate from next year.

The Government is proposing to cut the rate from 17 percent to 16 percent, with effect from January 1, 2025. The measure was first tentatively discussed alongside the release of the 2024 Budget Bill in March and confirmed in the State of the Nation Address, released June 11.

The Government has also confirmed it intends to introduce personal tax relief measures for class 1A taxpayers – widowers, single parents, and those aged 65 or older – next year, before repealing the tax class system from 2026.
