    Patent attorney Alireza Behrooz, Ph.D. has joined Merchant & Gould, P.C. as a partner in the firm’s Chemical & Life Sciences practice group. He joins the firm’s Washington, D.C., office from Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC.

    Behrooz focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in biotechnology and life sciences. In particular, Behrooz has extensive experience preparing patents and appeal briefs concerning the biomedical apparatus, chemicals, floor coverings, green technology, and prosthesis sectors. He also concentrates on the agriculture/crop science, medical device, and oral and personal care product industries.
