International law firm K&L Gates LLP has added a six partner team to its Antitrust and Financial Services Litigation Practices. The team, led by Jeffrey S. Patterson and Christopher S. Finnerty, will be based in the firm’s Boston office, and arrive from Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP.

Patterson focuses his practice on financial services litigation, along with antitrust and intellectual property matters. He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Similarly, Finnerty is an antitrust and competition attorney, who leads a multidisciplinary team in advising clients on matters concerning distribution, gray market suppression strategies, and global price maintenance. He received his undergraduate degree from Suffolk University Law School.

Michael R. Murphy has also joined K&L Gates as a partner. He has extensive experience in a range of antitrust issues, including distribution, gray market suppression, and price maintenance strategies. Murphy received his undergraduate degree from Dickinson College and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School.

“We are delighted to welcome this highly talented team of lawyers to K&L Gates’ Boston office,” stated administrative partner of the firm’s Boston office, Mark E. Haddad. “With practices that resonate in client markets important to this firm and its clients—the financial services industry and global corporations faced with strategic distribution and pricing challenges in the Internet age—our new partners will fortify and enhance our practices in profoundly important respects.”

“Combining our global distribution, antitrust, and financial services practice with the K&L Gates platform was a natural fit, enabling our team to draw on the depth of the firm’s experience and the breadth of the firm’s platform to service clients’ business needs on a global basis,” Patterson and Finnerty said.

K&L Gates is a global law firm with over 2,000 lawyers in 47 offices located in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. The firm represents multinational corporations, middle-market companies, capital markets participants, and entrepreneurs in every major industry group, along with public sector entities, educational institutions, philanthropic organizations, and individuals.
