Global law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP has appointed Ian Simmons co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice. He is a partner in O’Melveny’s Washington, D.C. office.

Simmons has more than 20 years of experience in antitrust litigation, with a concentration on cartel class actions and issues concerning intellectual property. He previously served with the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, and has been lead counsel in more than 30 multi-district litigation antitrust proceedings. Simmons is currently lead counsel for Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Samsung Electronics of America in actions concerning Cathode Ray Tubes, Optical Disk Drives, and Lithium Batteries.
