Law firms expanded healthcare, antitrust, and regulatory capabilities through partner additions and leadership appointments affecting health and life sciences-related practices.

Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Sullivan & Cromwell added Jack Congdon as a partner in its Washington, D.C., Antitrust Practice. Congdon returns to the firm after serving for more than five years as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, where he litigated major enforcement matters and worked on merger investigations. The firm said he brings experience in antitrust litigation, merger reviews, and government investigations, including matters involving the healthcare sector.

Foley Hoag LLP. Foley Hoag added healthcare attorney Lauren Carboni as a partner in its Healthcare Department in Denver. Carboni advises healthcare providers, hospitals, physician groups, and behavioral health organizations on regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse matters, government enforcement actions, False Claims Act litigation, internal investigations, healthcare transactional due diligence, and administrative appeals. The firm also highlighted her work involving regulated psychedelics and cannabis businesses.

The firm also named new managing partners for its Columbus, Washington, D.C., and Northern California offices and a deputy managing partner in Denver.
