Antitrust attorney Lisa Kimmel has joined Crowell & Moring’s Antitrust Group, as senior counsel in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. She was previously an attorney advisor on antitrust and competition policy matters for FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez.

Kimmel’s practice focuses on government merger and civil and criminal non-merger antitrust investigations, in addition to antitrust counseling. While with the FTC, she advised Chairwoman Ramirez on antitrust enforcement and policy matters across a wide array of sectors, and was the Chairwoman’s lead advisor on antitrust enforcement and competition policy matters in the technology sectors, including issues concerning industry standards and the acquisition or assertion of intellectual property rights. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and her doctorate and law degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
