Leslie C. Overton, who most recently served as deputy assistant attorney general in charge of civil enforcement in the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division, has joined Alston & Bird LLP’s Washington, D.C. office as an antitrust partner, the firm has announced.
As a member of the Antitrust Division’s leadership team, Overton advised on enforcement, operations, and policy matters. She supervised a majority of the Antitrust Division’s merger challenges from 2012 to 2014, oversaw the Antitrust Division’s health care antitrust policy work, and served as liaison in working with international competition enforcement agencies. Overton also has extensive experience advising on merger and civil non-merger investigations, litigation, settlement negotiations, and policy in the health care, telecommunications, and consumer products sectors.
