    Jeffrey T. Powell has joined Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP’s Banking and Financial Services Practice Group as an associate in the Birmingham office.

    Powell focuses his practice on advising financial institutions on regulatory, compliance, corporate, and operational matters, according the firm’s announcement. He counsels clients on product development and third-party vendor relationships related to various deposit, payment systems, mortgage, treasury management, wealth management, and online and mobile banking products. In addition, Powell has represented financial services institutions in various litigation matters, including creditors’ rights and defensive matters related to lender liability and regulatory claims. He also reviews pending state and federal banking legislation and advises clients as to compliance concerns.

    Powell holds a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and a B.S. from Washington & Lee University.
