Longman comes to BakerHostetler after 10 years with the Antitrust Division. His previous experience in the private and public sectors includes handling both antitrust litigation and antitrust merger clearances. As acting assistant chief of the Antitrust Division’s Civil Conduct Task Force, Longman oversaw the prosecution of complex antitrust conduct claims, including the recent U.S. v. Google monopolization case relating to its advertising technology business. During his tenure with the Justice Department, he also represented the government in matters involving a range of industries, including technology platforms, advertising, real estate and agriculture.
In another move from the Justice Department, Brian Boynton, the former head of the Department of Justice Civil Division, rejoined Wilmer Hale as chair of the firm’s Government and Regulatory Litigation Practice.
