Antitrust attorneys Matthew D. Kent and Andrew J. Tuck are among the 20 lawyers elected to partnership at Alston & Bird, effective January 1, the firm recently announced. They are both based in the firm’s Atlanta office.

Kent focuses his practice on antitrust litigation, counseling, and other complex litigation. He has extensive experience prosecuting and defending global price-fixing cartels for Fortune 100 companies, and has defended pharmaceutical companies in private litigation and government investigations of alleged “reverse payment” settlement agreements. Kent also advises clients on antitrust matters related to joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, his graduate degree from Mercer University, and his law degree from Georgia State University.

Tuck concentrates his practice, in part, on antitrust matters, including defending clients against class action and antitrust lawsuits. Previously an electrical engineer and computer scientist, Tuck represents clients in matters involving high technology. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from the University of Georgia.
