Antitrust Law Daily Wrap Up, LAW FIRM NEWS: Allen & Overy adds Yvo de Vries to global antitrust practice, (Jun 3, 2016)

Yvo de Vries will join Allen & Overy’s global antitrust practice as a partner in the Amsterdam office, effective September 1, 2016. He arrives from Phillips, where he served as Senior Director for Antitrust, the law firm announced today.

de Vries started his career at De Brauw Blackstone Westbrook and went on to head up the EU litigation department of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representing the State of Netherlands in dozens of proceedings before the Court of Justice in Luxembourg. This combination of law practice, litigation in Luxembourg, and in-house experience with Phillips makes him a "huge asset" to the Allen & Overy’s global antitrust practice, according to Ferdinand Grapperhaus, senior partner of the Amsterdam office.
