    L. Felipe Restrepo has been confirmed by the Senate to be a circuit judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Restrepo was nominated by President Obama and confirmed by a vote of 82-6.

    Restrepo was most recently a magistrate judge and district judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Previously, he was in private practice at his own law firm, Krasner & Restrepo, and held adjunct teaching posts at the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University. He previously was an assistant defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia and an assistant federal defender in the Eastern District.

    Restrepo received an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Tulane University.
