A snapshot of the week’s IPO activity, including completed deals, new preliminary filings, and IPO withdrawals.
SPACs have dominated the IPO market in 2026, and last week claimed all four of the completed offerings, and four of the ten preliminary filings. SIC 6770 now accounts for 147 of the year’s 243 IPOs. The latest companies to join the SPAC new issuer list were JATT III Acquisition, Rainier Acquisition, Southern Cross Acquisition II, and Inflection Point Acquisition VIII. JATT III’s lead manager was Guggenheim Securities, which also led JATT II to market in April. JATT II and JATT III are the only blank checks among Guggenheim’s 16 completed IPOs this year.
New registrants. The week’s activity included ten preliminary registrations, one of which was filed by Finland’s Spinnova. The company’s process of making manmade textile fibers using renewable and recycled materials is protected by 68 patents worldwide. Spinnova’s shares are currently listed on the First North Growth Market Finland which is maintained by Nasdaq Helsinki. The last IPO in the U.S. by a company headquartered in Finland was in June 2015. Aggreko, a U.K.-based designer of engineered energy and temperature-control solutions, enlisted Goldman Sachs as its lead underwriter. Aggreko will operate through its subsidiary JVCo, and will be controlled by funds affiliated with TDR Capital and I Squared Capital. Digital solutions and application development company Skubbs Holdings became the tenth Singapore-headquartered preliminary registrant of 2026. Skubbs hired Blue Diamond as its first lead manager. Blue Diamond has no completed IPOs as lead underwriter since its inception in 2012. Amaero, which was formed in Australia in 2013 and redomiciled to Tennessee in June 2026, also publicly registered. The company produces titanium and refractory alloy powders used in defense, aerospace, and medical applications. Amaero seeks to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market, and its shares already trade on the Australian Stock Exchange. Bamboo Insurance Services and Electra Therapeutics filed their IPO plans on Forms S-1. Utah-based Bamboo, which was formed in March 2026 and will operate through an up-C structure, underwrites homeowners insurance. Electra is developing treatments for cancer and immune-mediated diseases by targeting signal regulatory proteins. Haymaker Acquisition V is lead underwriter Cantor Fitzgerald’s latest blank check public filer. Haymaker V will target industrial and consumer-related businesses. Each of four predecessor Haymaker SPACs successfully completed initial business combinations. SIC 6770 added Essential Minerals Acquisition, Live Oak Acquisition VI, and Graf Industrial II to its list of 2026 new public registrants. Essential Minerals will focus on businesses that develop precious metals and minerals that are of strategic significance to the U.S. Live Oak VI will seek entities with an enterprise value of between $500 million to $2 billion, while Graf II may pursue partners that were considered by four prior Graf-sponsored SPACs.
Withdrawals. Blank checks pan-Africa and Timber Road Acquisition withdrew their pending registration statements last week. Six of the year’s 49 Forms RW have been filed by SPACs. Timber Road filed its latest amendment in August 2025. Pan-Africa never amended its October 2025 initial registration.
