The seller, Bravo Sports, is no longer in business and thus cannot conduct a recall.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging consumers to immediately stop using Pulse Performance Products Electric Quad Youth ATVs due to multiple safety violations that pose a risk of serious injury or death. The ATVs lack parking brakes and safety reflectors, which reduces the ATV’s visibility to other vehicles and increases the risk of collisions. The ATV’s mechanical suspension also fails mandatory safety requirements, further posing a crash hazard (CPSC Product Safety Warning, No. 25-274 (May 15, 2025)).
In addition, the ATVs lack a federally mandated CPSC-approved ATV action plan, necessary for manufacturing, importing, or distributing ATVs in the United States. This plan includes guidelines on rider training, safety information dissemination, and other preventative measures.
CPSC’s most recent data underscores the dangers associated with off-highway vehicles (OHVs), including ATVs. On average, these vehicles are linked to more than 800 deaths and approximately 100,000 emergency department-treated injuries annually.
The ATVs in question were available for purchase online through Walmart.com and possibly other websites from February 2019 through June 2024, retailing at around $340. They are identifiable by their black color with the number “99” in red on the front fender, and the brand name “PULSE PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS” displayed in white on the body. The seller, Bravo Sports, previously based in Santa Fe Springs, California, has gone out of business and is therefore unable to conduct a recall of the defective ATVs.
CPSC is urging all consumers who own these ATVs to dispose of them according to local disposal requirements and not sell or give them away. Consumers are encouraged to report any incidents involving injuries or product defects to the Commission at www.SaferProducts.gov.
