Microtime Inc., its President John Cassandra, and its employees Stephen Forgie and Linda Graham were charged with bid-rigging under the Competition Act for their actions from April to September 2009.
LAC Director Barney Shum and former LAC managers Sylvie Béland and Marie-Claude Renaud were charged under subsection 80(1) of the Financial Administration Act for allegedly making opportunity for another person to defraud the government.
"These actions clearly illustrate the Bureau’s commitment to pursue those who allegedly engage in anti-competitive behavior that harms Canadian consumers and businesses," said John Pecman, Commissioner of Competition.
