Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and National Trucking Financial Reclamation Services have reached a $650,000 settlement with defendant Jui Li Enterprise Company, in an action alleging that Jui Li and others engaged in a price fixing conspiracy involving aftermarket automotive sheet metal products. The plaintiffs moved the federal district court in Milwaukee for an order granting preliminary approval of the settlement agreement (Fond du Lac Bumper Exchange, Inc. v. Jui Li Enterprise Company, Ltd., Dkt. 2:09-cv-00852-LA).

Jui Li Enterprise Company, among other defendants, had been charged with engaging in a price fixing conspiracy for aftermarket automotive sheet metal products sold in the United States, including hoods, doors, bumpers, fenders, bonnets, floor panels, trunk assemblies, trunk lids, tailgates and roof panels.

Settlement terms. Under the terms of the settlement, a class—consisting of all third-party payors who indirectly paid or reimbursed others for the purchase of aftermarket automotive sheet metal products anywhere in the United States from January 1, 2003, to the present—would be paid $650,000 by Jui Li Enterprise Company. Previously, in a settlement approved on January 14, 2016, plaintiffs reached an agreement that required defendants Tong Yang Industry Co. and Gordon Auto Body Parts Co. to pay $9,200,000 for the benefit of the class.
