Amazon has announced a recall of about 2,840 Amazon Basics Camping Folding Pocket Knives after determining that the folding mechanism can fail to stay securely closed, creating a laceration hazard (CPSC Recall Notice, No. 26-334 (Mar. 19, 2026)).
Incidents and injuries. Amazon has received one report of an incident in which the blade did not remain properly secured in the closed position. No injuries have been reported.
Product description. The recall covers the Amazon Basics Camping Folding Pocket Knife featuring a 3.5-inch black high carbon stainless-steel blade and a pocket clip. The recalled units include model number B0DM5BJK3H and manufacturing lot codes C25021766FJO, C25090466FJO, or C25090566FJO, which appear on the side of the product’s white packaging box.
The knives were sold on Amazon.com between August 2025 and February 2026 for about $30. They were imported by Amazon.com Services LLC and manufactured in China.
Remedy. Consumers should stop using the knives and register for the recall at https://amazonfoldingkniferecall.expertinquiry.com/. Amazon will supply a prepaid return kit and instructions for returning the product safely. After receiving the returned knife, Amazon will issue consumers a full refund either to the original payment method or as an Amazon gift card.
